How it works

From sign-up to the last deal

Getting set up takes a few minutes. After that, a night of 120s is a few taps per deal.

Getting set up

  1. Create your account

Open ScoreKeep and continue with Google, or sign up with an email address and a password of 12 or more characters.

  2. Wait for approval

A ScoreKeep admin approves new accounts. Turn on “Notify me when I’m approved” and your phone tells you when you are in.

  3. Install it (optional)

Add ScoreKeep to your home screen so it opens full screen like any other app. On iPhone: Share, then Add to Home Screen.

A night of 120s

  1. Add the players

Add everyone who plays. Each player is a name; nobody else needs an account to be on the scoresheet.

  2. Make a group

Pick the players and the seating order, and turn on partners if you play in teams. Save it once and reuse it every week.

  3. Sit down

Start a session for the night: a single game or a best-of series, and who deals first.

  4. Antes in

Check off each player’s ante as it goes in the pot. If antes are still owed after a while, a siren lets everyone know.

  5. Score each deal

Tap who bid, the bid and the suit, then the points each side took. ScoreKeep applies the 120s rules, updates every device and moves the deal along.

  6. Win and wrap up

When a bidder makes a 25 or 30 to reach 120, ScoreKeep asks to conclude the game. Play the next one, start a new series, or end the night and see the summary.

The rules ScoreKeep plays by

  • Bids are 15, 20, 25, 30 or 60.
  • 30 for 60: a bid that needs every point pays double when it is made, so a made 30 scores 60 and a made 60 scores 120.
  • The 60 is a comeback bid: it can only be bid from a negative score.
  • Only the bidder wins, by making a 25 or a 30 that reaches 120. Climbing past 120 on points alone does not win.
  • A pass on the first deal holds every score; a skipped deal carries the scores and moves the deal on.
  • By default, $3 ante to start each game and $2 into the pot when a 15 or a 60 goes down. An admin can change the amounts.
