What ScoreKeep does

Everything on this page is in ScoreKeep today.

Scoring that knows 120s

ScoreKeep is built for 120s, the Newfoundland ante-and-pot version of Auction Forty-Fives. The rules are in the app, so nobody has to do the math.

  • One deal, a few taps

Pick who bid, the bid (15, 20, 25, 30 or 60) and the suit, then tap the points each side took. With two teams one tap is enough: the other side fills itself in.

  • House rules built in

Made and down bids, 30 for 60, the 60 as a comeback bid from a negative score, first-deal passes and skipped deals. Only a bidder who makes a 25 or 30 to reach 120 wins.

  • Single games or a series

Play one pot at a time or a best-of series. When a game is won, ScoreKeep asks to conclude it and offers the next one.

  • Mistakes are easy to fix

Undo the last deal, correct a score by hand, or move a whole game to the trash and restore it later.

Made for the table

Score on a phone, put the board on a tablet in the middle of the table, and everyone sees the same game.

  • Every device stays in step

Scores, bids and the pot update live on every phone and tablet signed in to the same ScoreKeep.

  • A board you can read across the table

The board view shows each side’s score, running totals and the deal history in large type.

  • Groups, seats and partners

Save who plays and in what seating order, play as partners, and pick the first dealer. The dealer moves on by itself.

  • Sounds and a soundboard

Built-in sounds mark moments in the game. Add your own clips to the soundboard and play them on every device at the table at the same moment.

The pot and the money, tracked

ScoreKeep keeps track of what players agreed to play for. It does not handle money itself.

  • Antes and the pot

Check off each player’s ante, add the penalty to the pot when a 15 or a 60 goes down, and hear a siren if antes are still owed after a while.

  • Who paid, who owes

A payment checklist for every game, and a running money total for each player over time.

  • Your table’s amounts

An admin sets the ante and penalty amounts, and can hide the pot and money totals from the screens.

History and stats

Every deal of every session is kept, so last week’s argument can be settled.

  • Every deal, every night

Look back through each session’s games and deals, with a summary when the night ends.

  • Stats for every player

Games played and won, bids by suit and amount, bids made and gone down, skunks and more, for one night or all time.

Your account and your phone

ScoreKeep runs in the browser and installs like an app.

  • Sign in with Google or email

Continue with Google, or use an email address and password. New accounts wait for an admin’s approval before they can see any games.

  • Install it on your phone

Add ScoreKeep to your home screen on iPhone, iPad and Android, or install it on a computer, and it opens like any other app.

  • Notifications, only if you want them

Turn on a notification for when your account is approved; admins can be told when someone is waiting. Quiet hours included.

  • Light and dark

ScoreKeep follows your device’s light or dark setting, or you can choose one for each device.
